Fenster Quartz - The Key to the Soul
Fenster quartz is a beautiful variety of the quartz family closely associated with Elestials. Fenster quartz is also known as ‘Window Quartz’, ‘Skeletal Quartz’ and my least favourite ‘Clay inclusion Quartz’. Fenster is a German word which means ‘window’ and this name was given to this quartz due to the window like planes and formations seen within the structure of the crystal.
Fenster Quartz is found in a few notable locations worldwide including Brazil, Pakistan and Mexico. At The Crystal Den the majority of our Fenster Quartz is sourced consciously from Pakistan as I believe these are the best quality both physically and spiritually.
Fenster Quartz displays triangular etchings and formations which resemble windows within the complex structure of the crystal. The crystal windows allow you to gaze into the inner landscape of the crystal which acts as a window into the soul. Fenster Quartz is amazing for soul purpose discovery and/or past life exploration. Fenster Quartz also displays amazing light coding when held up to the light or light is passed through via a torch. This can be a truly spiritual experience as the light vibrations cleanse and activate your chakras.

How to use your Fenster Quartz
Fenster quartz can be used during meditation. Simply hold your Fenster quartz, cupped in both hands whist meditating and focus on the vibrations you feel. Allow these to travel through your body guiding the energy to your third eye. Fenster Quartz can also be placed directly onto the third eye for enhanced effect.

If you struggle with meditations you can simply sit with your Fenster Quartz and use the art of ‘gazing’ or ‘scrying’. To do this gaze into the crystal, especially the windows and allow light to pass through at different angles. Whilst doing this use affirmations to amplify the energies, for example –‘Universe I am ready to receive the knowledge and understanding of my true soul purpose’. Note down what messages naturally come into your mind.

Fenster quartz can also be placed in a central room at home to keep energies cleansed and balanced and also create a shield against negativity.
How to cleanse your Fenster Quartz
Fenster quartz can be cleansed by smudging, ideally with Palo Santo or Angelic incense. If smudging allow the smoke to pass through and around the crystal. Fenster quartz can also be cleansed by placing on a bed of white sage and left over night. Fenster Quartz is water safe and can be cleansed under running water. It is always more powerful to cleanse in natural running water such as streams however natural mineral water is fine.
Fenster quartz is charged under the moon and sun energies and can be placed outside or on a window sill to absorb the rays of energies. Be careful however, as with all quartz based crystals direct sun rays can be amplified by the quartz and has in rare occasions and with the right circumstances caused heat and fire. I only leave any quartz crystals in direct sunlight for short periods and under supervision.
